Anyone alse digging the new Alexisonfire? Some of it is pretty typical of them, but there's some killer tunes on there, The Northern is currently my favorite.

I've found a steady decline in musical interest for them... Was a huge fan back in 02 with the S/T. Literally saw them 10 times during the span of 02-07. Then Watch Out came out and it was decent, Crisis came out and was pretty boring, I listened to one or two songs off this CD and thought GOOD fucking god what happened. I find George has done terrible things with his vocals... but good on them for trying something new I guess. Sounds too much like he's trying to mimic the horrendous new vocal styling of Matt Shadows which is putrid compared to their early work.

I haven't heard much of the new CD,
But I think with Crisis, They wanted to give Dallas more vocals. It changes up the sound for sure.

Definite switch up on vocal focusing. Was even starting to be apparent on Watch Out.

It's not too bad.. I like it much better than Crisis. They aren't the same without their old drummer, although the new guy stepped his game up for this new album I think.

The Northern is one of my favourites as well. George's voice sounds like shit though, gimmicky and boring. Dallas pretty much owns out 90% of the album. I'm glad he's got more of the vocals, otherwise I don't think I'd be diggin this album as much.

I'd recommend it, but don't listen with high expectations..

im pretty stoked for the new alexis. i went to back to back shows in december last year and was well worth it. Im glad theyre evolving so they dont keep doing the same thing like most bands.

I'm sure i'll enjoy it.. but come on.. it's nothing without good screaming! Alexisonfire was their best album. Man i'm disappointed though.. there myspace has a few songs up.
