How are you planning to sell Essential Earth for $70?

I'd pay like $5 to $10 because a new copy is $15. (with the key which you have to get if you want to do the assignments)

At the used book store all Essential Earth were all 80, that's why... (for GLGY 209, maybe you're looking @ the wrong class since there is no key required...)

and
ECON 201:
Principles Of Microeconomics 4Th Canadian Edition , MankiwNelsonBinding NoneCopyright 08Edition 4
Required $129.95

and I'm pretty sure psyc was over $100

When I took GLGY 209 last winter the key (basically an access code) was required to login to the system web-based assignments, which you need to do if you want a decent grade.

The key also gives you access to the electronic copy of the textbook. The campus bookstore gives students the option to pay an extra 10 or 15 bucks to get a new hardcopy of the book, which is bundled along with the key.

The access key is around ~$65 so the book ends up being around $15. Like I said the Geology portal gives you access to the ebook so the $15 is if you prefer a hardcopy. They'll also charge you for a clicker and registering your account to the course so they gouge you threefold!

Apparently my subscription is good for 365 days so if anybody is interested in taking this course you can have my password and username. (my account is bound to Giovanni's 09 winter session though)

Anyways $70 for Essential Earth is a ripoff and I'm hoping to save some poor unsuspecting student from this pitfall.

Damn that access code is a fuckin rip-off! When I took it a few years ago, we just had the book and it was around 80-100 bucks.

OT: what'd you think of Giovanni? I got her for a geo option this year.
