Hey guys,

We have the old laminate ripped off and the particle board exposed. We've got some filler that we planned on using to fill any small gaps and divots in the particle board.

We've also got some LePage contact cement. Should we be rolling this on? Brushing it on?

Any other tips or tricks that might help us out?

Thanks!

Is it latex based (white paste) or non-latex (yellowish goop)? My dad uses the non-latex daily and hes never had a problem with using a roller and brushing in anywhere a roller wont fit. He precovers one surface, allows it to dry, then applies the material to the other surface while it is still wet.

If it's latex based, I believe you apply it with a notched trowel to like...1/8th of an inch thickness i think, and then just put the laminate on and press evenly and somewhat firmly, make sure there are no lumps of divets too.

Edit: I googled lepage contact cement, and it makes it sound like it's latex based but more of a liquid. Sounds like you just brush it on and treat it like regular white glue or something lol

Right on, thank you. A combo of a roller and a brush did the job
