I want to see this tomorrow with my g/f, but my buddy just came back from the theater and he said it was terrible because apparently all the funny parts are already in the trailer. That seems like a giant letdown considering it's advertised so heavily. Probably why too come to think of it.

Can anybody confirm that this is a bad movie? Rotten Tomatoes has it at 27%...

saw it last night...can double the "everything good happens in the trailer" statement..
there are LONG periods of nothing happening...

the trailer wasn't even funny .. looked like the worst movie of the year so far :dunno:

reviews for year one i have read aren't all that great which is too bad because i'm a fan of jack black...straight up go see the hangover i laughed almost constantly through that shit, soooo funny.

I was expecting to see something about Year One Inc.

Hey thanks for all the replies guys. I did end up seeing Hangover instead. Which was fantastic, although I'm not so sure what to think about Asian gangsters anymore. Maybe the ones in L.A are just that 'special'.

I actually found it pretty good. Though I only seen the trailer once so maybe thats why. I found it fun though.

went and saw it with my GF

it has a few really funny parts... but most of it is just typical jack black and honestly annoying at best

take the money and go see "the hangover" its actually worth the money.

Saw it yesterday , alot of funny parts in the trailor.. Some OK parts , but not as funny as Hangover... It sucks to compare them , but Hangover is the last movie i saw prior to seeing this movie ... So it really sucked for me heh.

It was MEH. Last movie I saw before this was The Hangover..so yea. Maybe worth a rental or a download..

A lot of typical gay humor and sex jokes that is about it.

This movie sounds bad haha. Looked good when I saw the trailer though.
