I have this broken 8800 gtx with me for a while and I couldn't fix it with the parts that broke off because the leads are too short or I'm just not great in soldering.

Does anyone know what those parts are called? For the longest time I was guessing they were capacitors. Anyone know where I can get these in the city or online? Cheers! :)

Those are capacitors. On the board their designation begins with a "c".
Edit: Looks like one of them is C121. Good luck putting them back in place unless you have a hot air soldering station as most SMD (surface mount device) components require for installation and removal.

MRO Electronics Bay 1, 1245-34th Ave. N.E.

Active Components 2015 32nd Avenue N E Unit 1

They will have them in stock.

HI Old snake,

Those are capacitors, what part of the city do you live in, it would take me about 10 seonds to fix that for you. YOu don't need to buy new ones either.

yeah electrolytic caps some 16v 180 microFs?, mind the polarity when reinstalling, ever see one of those explode? :nut: but i guess surface mounts only go one way looks like it.

just a steady hand and maybe some thin tweezers should do it.
