Track Days

I would like to get on a track this summer, where around calgary can i do this? Im alot more intrested in doing laps than a drag.

I'm guessing you haven't been on the roadcourse before... which means you'll need to take a course before any of the lapping day guys will let you into their groups.

That's probably the cheapest way to get on the roadcourse for the first time. After that, you should be able to join most groups that have open slots.

Had you asked this a couple months ago you could have been part of the Solosprint series at RCMP and Stratotech park this summer.

Bit late now and you need a racing licence.

Ya if you've NEVER EVER been on any track at all, do the 3 day school with Jay, otherwise you're probably not allowed to run with any other groups.

Thanks for the heads up. Im definately going to look into it. Are there groups on beyond i could run with occasionally (after the program of course)

Yea just watch out for them. Most groups are private, and when there's free space they'll post here asking if anyone's interested. Just watch for the guys that post and ask nicely if they have spots open for future dates.

You can always do an Allenberg track day at Race City. You get to learn as well as getting lots of track time.
