Hey everyone,

Looking to insure my car on my own insurance for the first time, any suggestions on a reasonably cheap insurance company?

go to the Co-Opereators they will give you a great deal, and if you have more then one car you get muti-car discounts and stuff. I just when there and my insurance is 2000$ thats it. not bad i say.

umm.. i don't think i would lie about that... she took all of my information, and kept it in the computer, and said they would be able to insure me when i turned 21.

then about 2 weeks later i got a letter from td insurance saying there were sorry they were unable to insure me but i would be eligable after my 21st birthday as long as my driving record was clean

I didn't mean to say you are lying. Just saying it's BS that they told us one thing, and I hear something different from you, that's all.

I am 21 and insured through TD, I have been insured with them since i was 20! My rates are pretty good considering my age and everything...$115 per month insuring a convertible

They could be going by number of years with insurance history, not age. Maybe acuraxx has been on his own insurance 2 years more than you? Some say minimum 5 years, as opposed to minimum age 21...
