FAST CHEAP RELIABLE

pick two:poosie:

You need to give a bit more info. You have a budget, which is the first step.

What are you using the car for?
How fast is "fast enough" for you?
Are you driving it in the winter?
Do you care about handling?
Do you want it to look sexy?
How handy are you with a wrench?
Are you willing to have downtime, if your car breaks down?

$8k is plenty of money to get a decent car. You have a lot of options.

SRT-4
I can't think of anything else to fit your criteria. Not anything good anyway, not that the SRT-4 is very great itself.

The Prelude is a good reliable daily driver. I'm on my second now.

It's not the car for you if you're only looking for speed, but the refinement and build quality is top notch. It's starting to get dated, but styling is still holding it's own.
