Hey I know this is my first post but I would really like to know the answer without being flamed so as much help as possible would be amazing.

how come some s14's have a front end like this

while others have a front end with these lights

I always thought s14 were 1995+ but as i was looking all over beyond and Kijiji i saw that there was a lot of 93 and 94 s14

and then I thought that 93 and 94 were the only ones with the rounder headlights but i noticed a couple of them had the more aggressive headlights and now im confused

can someone explain to me what this is all about cause i really wanna buy a s14 but im confused

also if a s14 is 95 plus what are these 93-94 s14 look a likes called???

I believe those front ends are from the S15, that isnt available in Canada, but people like em so much that they personally rebuild the front end of their S14 to make it look more aggressive. Also, seen it been done on S13s, but not as often.

That should answer some of the questions.

the shark eye s14s (second picture) are 97+ the earlier models have the round headlights. A lot of people do front end conversions as well so that might explain the earlier models having the newer headlights.

edit: ^^ those are not S15 headlights. the square ones are kouki S14 lights.

Lamp_Shade is correct...

There are 93 S14 Silvia's out because that was the pre production cars, the first S14 Silvia came out in 1994 but a good handful was released in november 1993 for show viewing, and test driving ect...ect....

For the S14 Silvia, it came out in the years of 1993 - 1998

The brick headlights are called "Zenki" [je-nki] and those are on 1993 - 1996 year models.

The Aggressive headlights are called "Kouki" [coo-key] and those are 1997-1998

It is very easy to do front end conversions on any Nissan S chassis so you will find 1993's with later S14 front ends

with the right parts you can do S14 and S15 front end conversions on S13 chassis, which were made in 1989 all the way through 1998 (the 180sx Kouki I believe)

Also to Clairfy, you think 93's and 94's S14 are look alikes because in North America, we did not receive S14's until 1995...

The JDM market (japanese domestic market) got all the good cars Silvia, 180sx, skylines ect...ect...

While the USDM (united states domestic market) only received S13 240sx, and S14 240sx, S13 was from 1989 - 1994 and S14 was from 1995 - 1998. I think this is where you are confused with the years...

.... sorry for going off topic here but Zenki is pronounced GENKI not ZENKI, so to anyone who pronounces 5ZIGEN as FIZIGEN or FIVE ZIGEN, it's pronounced GOJEGAN, 5 in jap is said "GO" and Z's are JE so GOJEGAN.

DO NOTTT waste your money on this conversion, way too pricey, if you really want it, hunt one down that already has the conversion done to it, i dont see how ppl would dump that much into a facelift for a shitty beat to hell JDM

First S14 is a S14
Second S14 is a S14a

Use Wikipedia man, it works good.
