I purchased a new replacement remote for my command start. I need to know how to get it to work. The starter works ok with the old remote. Can you help?

I thought it was something like alternate between accessory and start 7 times in 10 seconds or so to put the system into pairing mode. Why don't you check in owners manual?

Thanks for the response, I don't have a manual for the unit, I'll try what you have suggested.

That didn't work. I should mention that it is a replacement for a cs-555 remote.

Open hood.

Push down and release the hood switch.
The parklights should come on.
While the lights are on push and release the hood switch again.
The parklights should remain on.
Push Button I on the transmitter until the lights go out.
Close the hood and try your remote .

It is the same sequence as above. The parklights MUST come oin and stay on to get the unit into programming mode.
If the lights do not come on, check the hoodswitch and make sure it is not rusty.
