CB Radios - anyone have one?

Anyone have a CB Radio in their car?

For under $100 you can get setup, have up to a 20 mile range, and is something 'interesting' for road trips/vital information.

Pros/cons?

They were all the rage when I was growing up get one with SSB for added range (both units will need ssb to communicate) but no one other than truckers have cb's anymore so there isn't much point unless you just want to hear truckers bitch about the coffee they just had at the last truckstop or how an RV is slowing them down on the highway.

Count on 5-8 miles and not 20 for regular channels. Though with fewer radios out there these days there may be less noise and you might hear a weaker signal. Communicating from one end of the city to the other reliably would only be possible with large house antennas.
