Officially Official: BMW X1

I really want to see it next to an X3 for a size comparison. To me it looks similar in size, except the front looks way better than the X3.

Also, if the X3 is fighting the Infiniti EX, Mercedes GLK etc, where does this X1 fit in?

Z3 replacement is Z4 too .. so .. BMW may just use a different name?

Right now, X3 is much more expensive then GLK .. so BMW may want to make a cheaper SUV to flight with the GLK .. :dunno:

X1 is not replacing the X3. A new X3 is due to be out soon enough.

I actually don't think it looks too bad. But I don't understand why there is an X1. If they made the X5 like the size of a Yukon XL or something, and then the X3 the size of the current X5 I could see the point of the X1.

Well, I don't think that it's really a replacement for the X3.

BMW is slated to come out with the new 3 series estate dubbed the Granturismo for MY12 (pictured below)...

... so what I think they're trying to do is lightly tweak the new 1 series platform to turn it into a faux SUV for our market. Look at it in relation to the guy and a surdboard hahaha it's tiny!
