CITYBEAT - CITY OF CALGARY PRESS RELEASE

At about 4:58 Pm on Friday the 3 July 2009 there was a
serious injury collision between a car and a SUV at the
intersection of Temple Dr (44 Ave) and 52 Street NE.

A Ford SUV was being driven westbound on Temple Drive when it
was struck by a Honda Civic that was east bound on 44 Ave and
attempted to make a left turn on to northbound 52 Street.
The force of the collision caused the SUV to end up on its
side and the adult male driver was treated and transported to
hospital after being extricated from the vehicle by the Fire
Department.

The driver and lone occupant of the Honda was not injured but
the driver of the SUV remains in hospital with life
threatening injuries. He was the lone occupant of this
vehicle.

Wow this is nuts... Im not completely surprised thought some of the intersections on McKnight are rough and not set up very well.

I hate that intersection..from the pics im assuming ford went straight and RSX didn't see him due to another car from the opposite side turning

yeah thats what i looked like, other then the front of the ford was faceing the intersection.. so it must have rolled and then turned on its side..
