yeah +1, the crowd wasn't even that packed iirc, ppl barely knew whotf he was not even a year and half ago, i forgot to mention his genre is really unique as some of you notice (i suppose thats why his fanbase is so diverse and why some electronic music sites dislike him), from heavy electro to progressive house, it makes for a well rounded show for sures.

I find his music, in a sense, a little darker style of electro/proggy house but sometimes it is very melodic like songs such as Faxing Berlin, Arguru (amazing song), Longest Road, Brazil, and the sorts. I wanna make his mouse head for Halloween hahah it's badass.

"Slip" is a darker song, in my opinion, good though.
MSTRKRFT :thumbsdow. Fist of God was terrible, the rap/electro crossover didn't do it for me. Reminds me of mashups which I often don't like because I come across so many that sound off beat and awkward.

It wasn't that bad of a show. I just hated waiting for him. The opening DJ really sucked, and the crowd was getting impatient. That kinda got me outta the mood. Does anyone have any pics from last night? I didn't get a chance to bring my camera.

Yup, crowd was about 17, saw tough guy after tough guy getting choked at each other after someone bumped into them. Had dudes pissed at me because their girlfriends couldn't see (yup, I chose to be 6'7... go ahead and be choked). People smoking on the floor, teenagers making out the whole time...

When I left there was an ambulance and 5 cop cars outside.

Was so tired out by 12:30 when he came on. I know that's how these things usually go, but seriously, on a Wednesday night you can't bump things up a bit? First DJ wasn't even on until 10. I guess most of the crowd was unemployed or in high school so it wasn't a big problem.

Luckily I saw some awesome shows this summer (Offspring was amazing!) so one stinker isn't the biggest deal.

Yeah it was pretty packed just like any other event where a good dj performs, but I didn't mind it at all and had a blast.

so i bought drinks at all the bars EXCEPT that one, asking the people if there was a guy working here by the last name of Ryder ( i thought that was the hint) and everyone said no or was too busy.

hahaha. awesome, i had a couple drinks with ryder that night. i had a table upstairs right in the corner so it was as close as you can get to deadmau5 from upstairs haha. it was good wasn't as crowded upstairs. got smashed

you're going to the wrong shows. I've been going to 2-4 shows a month for the last couple of years with really chill, dope crowds in calgary. but keep in mind this mostly electro / dubstep and not progressive-house/trance, as these are the music genres that tend to attract douchebags
