O.K., here's the deal. I am in the market for a new car. I have a few options in mind. But I need some feedback from JDM car owners. And before I list my options, I don't want any negativity from any VW owners becuase iI sold my Corrado, I disn't sell.:D

There are a few cars I am considering and the reasons why.

1. - the car must be rear wheel drive.
2. - It must be a coupe or hatch.
3. - must be turbo/super or capable of being blown.

So here are my personal fav's, feel free to add info, experiances, ect on these cars.

And I do know how much I have to spend on each car.
1. 95-97 Nissan 240
2. 3rd gen rX-7
3. 4th gen supra
4. 300zx twin
5. 1991 evo M3

From the cars he has listed I doubt he likes the AE86 or 2nd gen Rx-7...

I love 3rd gen rx-7, but from what I know about them they are high maintenance. I love the evo M3, but I'd be careful who you buy it from... I'd probably just buy the newest car on the list, I don't like the supra as much as the others but it would probably be the best buy out of the bunch, IMO.

300ZX = Heavy + $$$

i like the fd's but they are not know for thier longevity.

M3 would be nice, but very hard to source out, and they just arnt as fast as some of the others, now if you want exclusivity, the M3 is definetely the way to go.

S14 would be hot too, but you definetly want the sr20det in it. or at least turbo ka.

300zx are really cool. you buy it and have fun. kinda heavy, but whatever.

supra is too heavy, but if you get enough power to it you might be ok. But they dont handle that well relative to your other choices due to the weight. Its my least favorite of your choices.

well, the rest are kinda prcey too, and heavy yea, take out the A/C, and ur about 3200 lbs, and way less strain on motor, and remove the hicas and even less strain
plus its only competition would b the TT supra, which would cost even more! and not too much faster stock...
and the FD car, which i know not a lot bout, but wouldnt buy one unless i didi
and a TT Z w/ about 2800 invested will return u a 400 hp car.... jus make sure u buy one in good condition..most of the ones selling out here for the mid teen thousands hav blown injectors or turbos or other probid say find a NA Z, w/ high ass kms....so it sells for cheap, and for about 6 grand u can get a front clip swap done...make it a fresh TT, jus find a clip w/ lo wmiles
thne hi flow intake, ecu, exhaust and a downpipe later vroooom
plus i think the Z looks the best outta that league...but thas jus my humble opiiono

or sticking to nissan..
an S14
w/ a RB26DETT
holy shit ud fucking fly
even an RB25DET
RB clips doing the smallest things will add INSANE amounts of power
kinda pricey tho....
the key would again to find a S14 w/ flood damage or hiugh high ass kms, which would b kidna hard
clips for RBs are kidna prcey tho
so check out www.flashoptions.com
mad cheap deals on em
im a member :D and they do wicked work, well, hav wicked clips and will send asap
for th the swap id stronly recomment autodream
only issue for an RB would maybe be the maintenance since stock replacement parts might b hard/expensive to find, but whenever somehting stock needs replacement, jus buy an aftermarket one, and ull b all the faster for it

Id say M3, but finding a nice one in good shape that wont cost more than a house might be hard!..... hmm what about a 2nd Gen MR2?.... are they not "quite" up the standards of the other cars? :dunno:

Why is it that you always mention s13's and s14's with rb25's and 26's?????? They dont come with those engines, and there are only a handfull in Japan that have done that mod sucessfully. A sr20det with the right mods can hang with most rb's anyday.

coz modding an RB will giv more power than an SR, plus its somin diff....i jus hav a thing for em...but an RB26 w/ 3 grand into it....vs an SR w/ 3 grand in it....whic will giv mor ep ower?

3 grand into a rb is nothing in parts, the aftermarket is huge, but so is the $$$$. If the mod was such a great idea, there would be hundreds of rb powered silvia's running around, not sr's.

depends on what you want the car for really. do you want a dd, a drag racer, or an autocross car?

for me id go with the supra as a DD
an FD for an autocross car
and probably an FD for drag too.

ok the RB will have more power, but how long does it take to get the RB in there, and how much does it cost?

Did You Sell The Corrado?I would Say a older 240 cause they are cheap but judging by your list you don't care much About The Price. If i had the Money i would go with the RX7.It's Quick,Great handling,Very Nice Looking,And Fairly UnCommon.

I didn't sell the rado, but I did sell most of the extra and aftermarket parts.

If anyone is interested in a semi-stock/project corrado for less then 8gs let me know.

Otherwise, back to the cars. I've cancelled the FD and the M3. I have been seriously reserching the 300TT, 240 and the TT Supra. As everyone has said the 300 and Supra are pretty heavy, but a Corrado is pretty much the same weight. So a pig of a car is no issue.

It's probably gonna come down to the twins. The supra and 300.

BTW, I saw a nice clean black 300 on macloed before it snowed last week. Had a pillar guages, black rims w/polished lip. Nice kit.

Anyone one here. Props for a clean sick ride.

Thanks for the info.

the 240 is the cheapest but you would probably wanna swap the sr20,

the other japanese cars are all in the 25-35k range, all blowable, the rx-7 has greatest chance of engine failure, but on par in terms of handling with the m3, supra is easiest car to push hp in, 300zxs are fast too but just dont seem to have as much potential as the supra, as for the m3 i doubt you could seriously find an e30 evo, and if you did i would kill you if you used it as a daily driver ;)

buy from www.flashoptions.com
takes about a month to get here, a lil extra work there n there, but somin diffrent, not to say that an SR powered 240 i s slow, theyre wicked fast and tuneable, but, RB'd b fast, even jus and RB20DET....
