Looking for recommendations for places that will print on canvas, both local and online.

Preference on a company who can replicate on-screen colours well.

http://www.printhuge.com

Friend of mine in Edmonton, I would never consider going ANYWHERE else for canvas printing and proper color. Best of the best IMO. He will protect and treat your canvas prints to last properly, only uses the best material and his colors are 100% dead on.

Werd, I've used printhuge.com before. Excellent excellent work... and pretty good prices imo.

I can help you with printing on canvas up to 24" wide. We also have stretcher board for a 1 1/4" and 1 3/4" gallery wraps.

If you haven't already found someone who can help you, please let me know.

You will be hard pressed to find canvas prints that can re-create what they look like on a monitor. Ink and light look and react in very different ways. There are papers which can recreate the look exceptionally well however they are usually papers that are so glossy that they don't appear glossy. These are papers such as ilford high glossy media, fuji photo flex crystal archive paper etc.

You'd be really shocked at how good prints on these papers look when framed with the proper non-reflective glass.

I print the ilford high glossy media myself all the time. the fuji flex paper though is a tricky one. There are only a few places that have the proper to print it on. I'll see if I can find the link. The frames you need though with the proper non-reflective glass can get extremely expensive in a hurry especially at larger sizes.

I have numerous 17"x25" prints that I took from Hawaii and the frames were in the $300-$350 range after the wonderful 50% michaels off discount.

Only a little off topic, but what kind of printing would be appropriate for high humidity prints? like above a jetted tub?
