I hope he actually acts and doesn't try his sarcastic humour in this movie.

^^ I'm pretty sure he backed out of Green Hornet. Anyways I'm glad they didn't cast Justin Timberlake lol, Bradley Cooper would have been alright.

Yeah, I lol'd at how Justin Timberlake was being considered.

Anyways, I read this article on the same site that had the Morgan Freeman stuff, I'm not to sure on the casting choice but I guess we'll see.

edit : This guy is Canadian too isn't he?

There were a few green lanterns, it's not just a character, but one member of an army.

Terrible choice. The guys already played Deadpool and his sense of humor fit that role perfectly but Green Lantern is totally different.

They should've gotten Nathen Fillian, he's a perfect choice.
This fan made trailer looks great.

That trailer is sick.
If only it was real...

Interesting to see what they can do with another non-mainstream superhero like Ironman. IMO Reynolds is a good choice because he's handsome (he's banging Scarlett so obviously he will attract the female crowd), can be effective with humor (only if done in small doses) as well physically he can do the role as he's fairly tall and has got pretty ripped in previous roles (I hate the fake muscle costumes). Most of all is that the worst things to happen to some of these superhero motion pictures is that they take themselves too seriously (that's why both Hulk movies sucked). I don't think that will happen with Reynolds.

Hmm..interesting. Me and a few buddies were discussing this. Reynolds would make a better instead IMO. But we'll see how this one turns out.

That was an awesome video, can't believe it was fan made!

Although I don't mind Ryan Reynolds, he was already dedpool so they really should have tried to find somebody else to cast as the Green Lantern. There are so many actors in Hollywood, plus it's nice to see a break out star once in a while.

He just got voted "Sexiest Man Alive" by US Magazine. To me he looks like a decent version of the comic book illustration. He's got the hair, he should be good.

I don't like the recycling an actor to play different superheros though, like Chris Evans is The Human Torch AND Captain America. Now Reynolds is Deadpool and Green Lantern, even though it's Marvel and DC... still a little too bad they choose to do it.

I doubt there would ever be a DC vs Marvel clash so Green Lantern and Deadpool would be okay IMO...

I wonder they'll glue his mouth shut and have Wolverine kill him again? Like his last comic book movie.

Wait, are you saying Ironman and Green Lantern are non-mainstream?! Right, Ironman just lead 1 entire side of the Civil War... ;)

Also , nothing wrong with superhero movies taking themselves too seriously, infact I prefer the realistic approach ie. watchmen, both new batman movies, compare those to the spiderman series which is getting restarted

Like Spiderman, I believe the fantastic four series is getting restarted as well. But I get what you mean, there are always other people that would fit the roles.

I'm fine with Reynolds as Green Lantern and Deadpool, if only because nobody else can really pull off Deadpool. I remember in the comics years ago they even said Deadpool looked like Ryan Reynolds before he got disfigured.

Dead pool or Wade Wilson is supposed to be a wise ass that talks a lot, it's his personality. That's why Reynolds suits that character.

Domino once said that Deadpool's most lethal weapon is his mouth. He will blabber nonsense during the whole fight, distracting and maiming the opponent until the latter "surrenders or commits suicide."

So much better than the first trailer. Most people that have watched the 10min footage are saying it's actually looking really good now.

Edit: HD is up on at apple trialers

I read the script for deadpool last night and it's pretty great.

Green Lantern looks good, never had much interest in the character. I think I'll watch the animated movie that came out last year.

Wow that actually doesn't look so bad now. I thought the first trailer made the movie look pretty lame.

I wonder when DC is going to start making references to the Justice League by connecting the characters in their movies. Batman making a reference to Superman has to be the easiest and first choice IMO.

Those 2 vids you posted beecue make the movie look good

I had some big doubts when I saw the first trailer, but now I'm feeling more confident that it will be a decent movie.

... but who the fuck keeps green lighting 3d movies?! Glad I bought these http://www.2d-glasses.com/

I saw the Pirates movie today and that was the first time I got to use my 2d glasses... they worked 100% and was so nice. I switched to the 3d's half way through the movie just to see how the animation was and the 3d effects were TERRIBLE. They looked like layers of pictures vs seeing true 3d, so i went back to the 2d glasses and enjoyed the rest of the movie.

Fuck, why cant this 3d gimmick shit go away lol
