I'd buy it but I'm not sure how it hooks up?

It comes with all the pipes and connectors you would need - we have an undeveloped basement so we connected it to our water line and our outgoing pipes. It also has the connectors you need to run it through your laundry hook ups (upsidedown U pipe that shares the same outgoing hole as your washer).

You can also hook the pipe under your toilet seat if you don't have access to your plumbing or laundry.
