I am looking for someone that knows quite a bit about these cars. I am possiby looking at getting a Passat wagon. I dont want to buy new, but I was told by someone I work with that there a better years than others, like pre 04 because they ride on a different chassis. Is this true? Is the 4motion the way to go?
What would be the best combination to look at? I would prefer a manual transmission, and I dont do a whole lot of highway driving, mostly city back and forth to work.
