Has anyone gone to Dr. Wakeham (Northland professional building) to get their wisdom teeth removed? Good/bad experience?

my Fiance went to him to get her wisdom teeth removed and she still cant feel part of her lip.

there was a huge thread here somewhere where a lot of people have suffered nerve damage from him

Wow...I went about 7-8 years ago. Experience was good...no lingering effects.

That thread had to do with a Dr. Summers. I skimmed it but didn't see anything about Dr. Wakeham

I had all 4 done by him. Pretty good, I have a very slight loss of nerves on the right side of my lower lip. Initial recovery was about 9 days.

Lots of older ladies in there to doll themselves up lol.

I went in for an initial consultation with Dr. Wakeham about 4 years ago for wisdom teeth removal. I felt uneasy about the whole situation and then came onto here and read some of the horror stories  . I remember his waiver said that you wouldn't hold him responsible if you were to die during the operation -- no way in hell I'd be signing that.

I got a recommendation for a Dr. Whitestone (in the Southland area) and got my wisdom teeth removed by him -- he and his staff were extremely professional, and I everything healed very quickly, wiht no loss of sensitivity. Plus I didn't have to sign a waiver that said I wouldn't hold him responsible if I were to die under his care.

Wakeham is expensive, charged my wife $1800 to do the wisdom teeth.

I had my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Wakeham as well. It was a generally good experience. He was nice and professional. I got those massive nerve pains mentioned in one of those threads, but a couple pain killers solved the problem. Those headaches were KILLER though.

I had my teeth pulled by him 1 1/2 years ago. Pretty standard experience, I got knocked out, woke up, got more pain killers, was fine within a few days. Still have big holes in my mouth though....

He did my wisdom teeth a long time ago back when he was located at Deerfoot 17. No complaints.

FYI it's cheaper to get it done when he's scheduled to work at the hospital. Otherwise, it costs more to have the anesthetist visit his office to do the procedure.
