Hey All,

I am buying a new macbook this week and have been told by mac that I get an Ipod Touch for free with a mail in rebate. If anyone is interested in picking up a brand new Ipod touch I would be willing to sell it at $210 firm (they are $259 retail or 271 incl tax).

If you are interested in this item, you can accompany me while I purchase the ipod and macbook at the applestore, and I would give you the ipod as soon as the purchase is complete.

Please note that I would be taking the upc from the ipod box so that I could recieve my mail in rebate for the ipod as well.

wait im confused.

You want somebody to pay 210 for the ipod to you. and then you're going to use the mail in rebate and get 259 retail price refunded?

Yes that is what he's looking to do. Get the free iPod and sell it at a discount to someone else. What's not to get?

What if I wanted the 16 GB Touch? Does that qualify?

The Maximum rebate I get back is to cover the 8 gig however I can take that rebate and apply it towards buying a 16gig. If you wanted the 16 gig the price is usually $329 before tax and $345 after tax.

Technically the difference in after tax pricing between the 16 gig and 8 gig would be 345 - 271 = 74.45 and based on this I should charge $284.45.

But since this is on beyond and I am sure you want a bit more of a deal (which is only fair when buying via a forum), for the 16 gig the lowest I could do is $270 firm .

So if you want the 16 Gig I can do $270 firm. Or if you want the 8 gig it would be 210 firm.

On the 8 gig you save - $61
On the 16 gig you save - $70

Personally I would love to have kept the touch myself, but with the macbook being soo freaking expensive and running over 1300 itself, I am trying to cut costs as much as possible.

I honestly feel that the prices I have listed are more than fair and I will be completely firm with them.

The person who purchases this item, essentially ends up with a discount of 20 - 25 percent including taxes and recieves an BNIB ipod at the store itself! Which is awesome because I am willing to wait to purchase the macbook for my potential ipod buyer, and that way you are guaranteed to have an IPOD which has warranty starting the day you get it!

Hey Guys, I will be purchasing the laptop and Ipod by Thursday. So if any of you are interested, please let me know asap to be able to come with me to the store to pick it up. If not I will still be selling it afterwards for the same price BNIB unopened.
