This is a honda engine part that is located behind the 2nd cyl from the left on the IM. Anyone have a pic or description if this part? I'm trying to find it.

Thanks

ok, so it's behind the engine. I was under the impression that it was on the top IM.

Thanks, I'll try to find it(and fix my oil consumption and slight burning problem).

148,000km. mobile1 synthetic since 100,000km whenI bought the car from the original owners who took it easy on it. I don't know if the other owners used synthetic or not, but probably not. I've heard that going from regular to synthetic can cause oil loss/burning because the synthetic can find the imperfections on the cylinder wall and rings easier then regular oil. Maybe I should go to 10w-30 regular.

"For checking it, remove it from the valve cover, and shake it. You should hear rattling as you shake it. If not, the PCV is clogged. Another test is to run the engine and cover the open-end of the PCV and feel for vacuum suction. If not, then the PCV is clogged as well."

"Your PCV takes blowby gases from the engine and routes them back into the intake system. Sometimes, on a faulty PCV, it takes oil along with the blow by gases and puts them back into the intake, therefore burning oil."

I changed from synthetic to normal oil and my old engine started to burn after about 20k ....
