Getting my new glasses this week, and am getting really tired of keeping 2 pairs of glasses with me all the time, 1 regular pair, and 1 set of perscription sunglasses.

was wondering if anyone uses transition lenses, and what they thought about them, and are they really worth the $300 cost on top of everything?

Don't have them myself, but a co-worker who does always complains how his transitions never gets dark enough outside nor does it ever get clear enough in a darkened room inside.

Bingo! Had em, hated em.
On that note, 300 for transitions seems HUGE

they dont work inside a car, and they dont get very dark unless your staring at the sun.

and mine are oakley rx lenses, not cheap.

Not worth it imo. I have them and I really want to get rid of them. They were novel oh about 4 years ago, and now they are annoying.

That, and they look stupid when you just got inside and have semi-dim lenses.

they get dark enough so that i don't have to squint, which is dark enough for me.

I don't know why they're still sold as you can't drive with them (newer cars have UV block in the glass so your glasses don't tint).

Get a pimpin set of flip down shades!

Exactly what I do...

But I had transitions before, they switched over very slow after about 6 months (took like 5 mins to get decently dark)
and now they're just sunglasses that don't go back to clear.
Glad I didn't have to pay! I love visions benefits

Have you considered Lasik?

i find the transition lenses pretty heavy and thick

compared to the same prescription on my other pair of glasses

dont think ill be getting another pair in the future

my lenses were 250 at the place in T and T northeast
