#1 radar detector?

I'm looking into buying a new radar detector for my new car. In my last car I got a hardwired Escort Passport 8500 Blue. Honestly I don't think it ever did anything. Or is that just me. Do radar detectors work well, mostly city driving. Which is the best to consider?

try the highway setting if you go back to escort

if you get the GPS functionality, many of the repetitive alerts can be ignored

I LOVE my 9500i, turning off annoying alerts and blocking them permanently FTW.

It has saved me a hundred times already.

9500ci is the best by far. not cheep, but well worth it.
