LOL cardel is desperate! All the other housing companies are only giving $2,500 flat fee to the person referring the buyer.

Just remember the money they are paying you is taxable as well.

Yes Cardel gives $5000 for the person referring the buyer. I figured i would split it.

I just find it very wierd they are offering double of what every other company is giving. I'm also pretty sure the amounts are taxable as well so take that into consideration in the equation.

Funny how two years ago builders wouldn't do crap for the customer now they'll bend over backwards.

Let's see if you're singing that tune 18 months from now. Search my posts for detailed problems with Cardel.

I honestly hope it works out for you but I would be a happy guy if they never sold another house, ever.

I can agree with masked bandit and can say their sales staff are pretty clueless. We literally had to teach the sales person what a side mounted garage was.

I think many go with them as their prices are lower. Just ensure that when you sign the final papers with the lawyers to ensure money is held back for any work not completed. Our friends waited until August to get their stucco when they took possesion in january.

Our "design specialist" assigned to us had no idea what suspended ceiling was (basement) or why on earth anyone would want a laundry-tub style sink in the garage.

I really think it should be mandatory for these people to actually know how to build a house before selling one.

For this referral to work, you can not have spoken within cardel in the area you would like to build with.

Cardel homes is unable to honor registrations that are received after Cardel homes has already registered the customer. This is to respect the intent and validity of this referral

That sounds extremely wierd. You wouldn't think they would care how they get the referral just so long as they get it. For all they know the extra $$$ is what pushes that person to buy with them. Especially when you consider the profit on most of these houses is well over $100,000 a shot.

It sounded standard to me, I know it works the same for realtors if there customer talks to a build before the realtor introduces them to the builder the realtor will not get any commission.

Have referrals worked for other builders after they have already been dealing with the builder?

Great program.

You'll need the referral money to fix the house after you take possession. They wash their hands of anything that goes wrong. awful builder.

In fact you may need more depending on what they f' up on.

I thought IGI was his won general contractor and everything when building his new home, or are you talking about a previous experience.

Takemetoothemoo... I'd like to know how it goes for you after all is said and done. Not saying this in an insulting way, but just to see if Cardel has changed since the boom and if your good experience maintains though the hole process and after...

I was pretty happy until about a month or so before possession and then it all started falling apart.
