first fast car you drove?

We didn't all start (or maybe still haven't started) with fast cars.
What was the first real fast car you drove and blew your mind? Hit boost/Experienced RWD/burned out/jizzed pants and what not?

For me it was driving my friends Aristo! Drove it all day first day he got it and tried everything with it! The pull was amazing and still is. This was after learning to drive with an old Escort and driving a slow ass celica everyday. It was hard to go back and I had to sell it and get something similar.

When I was 16 my first car was a 1988 300ZX. It was not the turbo and only had 165hp but for my first car it was plenty fast. Manual tranny and rwd was lots of fun. I have had faster cars since but it was the first car to give me the feelings mentioned by the OP.

Depends what you define as fast. My second car was an 81 Supra - which I viewed as quick because it was a Supra. But really, with 118hp, it was hardly quick. My 3rd was an 1983 Supra - which was pretty quick for me at the time.

But looking back at it, my first actually quick car was probably my 91 Z28.

Well my first cars were 5th gen preludes, they pulled fairly quick but most of the people know they aren't really that quick. Now my real first fast car was my 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 with 263 hp and 280ft/lb tq. It's a lot of fun. :D

depending on what year the 350z is, the newer 350 autos are actually really fast, hell even faster than a normal person can shift. I drove my friend's 350z 2007 I believe it was and it was quick.

My first experience with horsepower/torque came from my previous car - a 2002 Mustang GT Convertible. I remember the first time I hit the throttle and the rear tires broke loose.

Prior to that I was driving a gutless 4cyl fox body mustang (90hp I think lolz) so I was use to planting my foot to the floor all the time and it was no big deal. The new car taught me in a hurry that I couldn't do that anymore or I'd find myself wrapped around a pole.

A buddies 3000GT Twin Turbo. It was WAY too fast. RHD, I didn't like that part though.

Personally, I love my car. It's small, light and quick. I wouldn't say retarded fast (...yet) but it's quick. Everything in it feels quick, like - Do you know when you drive a large car, it just floats into lane changes, no quick abrupt switches.

Like a fat kid, and a average kid in soccer. The average kid out handles the fat kid. I love the Corolla.

The fastest car I ever drove was my best friends Audi A4 with a fully rebuilt engine HUGE injectors a BIG turbo and lots more. (build by Calgary Auto Werks, and Won Best audi at DTP 2 years in a row)

2nd was picking up my CTS-V in Seattle, previous owner took me for a spirited drive. Later that night while driving around town the traction/stability control saved me from wiping out while stepping on it 1/2way through a left turn when the light went yellow. Might have been more then 1 skid mark that night :)

First car was a 81 Mercury Capri with a straight 6 in it - it was fun as a summer car in that it had t-tops and a decent stereo. Not super reliable as it had voltage problems.
Second car was a 90 Ford Escort - not fast at all, but it got wicked mileage.
Third car (still own) is a 2002 Nissan Spec-V - quicker now that it has some bolt-ons but far from what I consider fast.
I bought the wife a 2009 Forester XT Limited - pretty quick for a auto SUV.

The fastest car I ever drove is my friends 2005 Viper - driving that thing is scary. He supercharged it a year later and took me for a rip in it - disgustingly fast.

I drove a 3 cylinder Firefly(52hp) from the ages of 14-17. A couple of months after my 17th birthday I found a 240sx shell and sold the firefly. I went from 52hp to 205hp and RWD in a 240sx w/ an SR20DET. After picking the car up I hung a left out of Autodream onto the connecting road, then hammered the throttle turning right onto 32nd. The turbo spooled and the back end broke loose into a semi controlled small drift. I remember almost crying, that might have been the best drive home of my life.

1986 Jaguar XJ12, hit 265kph on the stretch of highway 1 by Calaway park, scared myself when i realized how fast I was going, and never even come remotely close to that speed since.

I sadly have not really driven any fast fast cars. When I first got the Legend it felt plenty fast to me, but the SC400 is a much quicker car, the RWD really changes things.

I test drove a Mini Cooper S and it really felt fast, especially when cornering. Also a newer Mustang V8, that felt pretty quick as well.

Indeed. I've never driven any fast cars, but first bike I rode was a 1998 GSX-R 750 when I was 16. Shat my pants. Then when I got my R1 I shat again. I rode only 600's for a few years, so stepping up to the 1000 was ridiculous.

Closest thing to that is the ~700hp Ford GT I got to ride in. That was a fast car. Got up to about 265kph on the front straight at race city IIRC. The driver was over driving the brakes though, it could have gone faster.

Testerossa when I was 16, my buddies uncle let me take it for a rip as a birthday present. I Had the pleasure of driving a modded RS4 recently. A new Shelby Mustang gt500 w/ a tiny pulley :D. even though it isnt in the same league, a BPU modded rb25.

Probably the all out rawest powered car I ever have been taken a RIDE in, was a 800+AWHP AWD golf that when the turbo spooled I couldnt raise my arm, couldnt move around in the bucket. The car was skating like it was a wrx on an ice rink. The smell of vp101 the sound of the turbo, the look on the f360's face as we past him so quick it looked like he was stoped on glenmore. I will never forget the feeling in my head, in my chest, in my stomache as we went gear 2-4 on the road adjacent to standens, from 0-200-0 on that road.

I will NEVER be in a faster car I dont think. Well, we will see if lawrence can out-do himself.
