Tire question

Is it going to be safe if I put a non LT tire on my SUV or can I just toss on any tire that is the same size? I figure that with the difference in weight, the LT would be safest.

Lt tire would have a higher load rating ie: thicker tread and sidewall giving a rougher and louder ride, if you're not loading down your truck or towing anything you can use any good passenger tire so long as it meets the weight requirements of your truck with passengers (found in the doorjam)
