Where would be a good place to take my mom and the immediate family for her birthday? I'm looking for somewhere that's got both a restaurant and still somewhat of a bar/pub feel. Also she mentioned that if they played music there it would be a bonus. Any ideas are appreciated.

I would say the lounge at Wildwood on 4th Street.

I've never been, but I hear Bookers has live music.

Got a good friend who's mother has a birthday soon? Would advise against including immediate family.

grey eagle casino, i guess not much of a pub / bar feel but i believe you get 10 dollars off having dinner on ur birthday with ur casino membership card. great buffet btw for Calgary...then you guys can go gamble. :D slot machines music FTW.
