Premium gas shortage in the city?

Went to Chinook Ctr. Shell last night, they only had Bronze gas, no V-Power or mid-grade. I drove up the road to the Husky and filled with 94, and while at the pump had a discussion with a guy, who said that this was the 4th gas station he's been at looking for fuel, and that most stations in the city only have 87 octane, or are completely out.

Anyone got more info? Did a refinery shut down last week or something?

Yea it was mostly petro can stations I heard on the news though ... some bad weather I think and damages to a refinery ... I gotta go get gas today for the camping trip ... hope i dont have to go all over town to find some.

The refineries are back up to full production, but it might take a couple more days for stations to stock-up.

Two refineries near edmonton loss power due to storm earlier in the week. They supply gas to petro and husky I believe, it was in the news a couple days ago. A lot of gas stations in the city are out so probably try to find stations that are not found on main roads. Had to go to three different gas stations before I found one that still had gas.

they had every type of gas there, couple days before that though they had nothing but reg

I think that all esso gas stations have gas again, the one near my house (I live in the NE) was fully operational again yesterday.

Pumped at the esso at trans canada mall on 52nd street the other day. Although I was going to pump premium fuel, they were out of regular fuel. So when i pumped premium they charged me for regular!! :thumbsup:

So try to look for these places!

Last week we found a Shell station with only V-Power. So they sold V-Power for the price of Bronze. :clap:

It's called stock piles retard. Funny how when gas prices get manipulated they say the stock thats being used now was paid for back whenever. So what they only stock crude and pump gasoline out on demand.

I went to petro-can in westhills, no gas.
then I went to Superstore westhills... no gas.
Then to Husky signal hill... no gas.

Had to drive all the way down to Westbrook Esso. :thumbsdow

That storm was a big one, power outages all over the city, trees splitting in half and I'm talking big ass ones with thick ass trunks all over the city, winds of 100KM/hr +, hail, the day after driving around, it looked like a war zone

esso and shell are limiting the amount of fuel being allowed to leave the terminals to gas stations due to closures of refineries due to storms.

I have 5gal of shell 91 in a jerry can for my pressure washres/lawn tractor (Was too lazy to switch the pump to 87).

if anybody wants it I'm willing to sell the can+gas for $599.98.

Try Centre Street and McKnight Shell or Esso or Petrocan - all had gas this AM.
