supra turbo?
1jz or the 7mgste?
either one of those vs a KA24DE the supra is better
but if the 240 is gonna hav a swap, id take the 240, an SR powered S13 will do somee crazy things, light too....of caorse id recommend an RB swap in stead

swaps for 240... trq on all of em is only a lil less than hp...
SR20DET - 205 hp 201 trq
RB20DET - 215 hp
RB25DET - 250 hp
RB26DETT - 270 hp

and a mmodding any of them, especially the RBs, will unleash soooo much power....

not sure bout the stock specs on a the supra?

they have an issue with headgaskets blowing tho.
make sure you do some research.
opinions aren't enough to substantiate much :P
what will u do with the car? street? drag? track?
it's too easy to just ask "which one is better?'

Head gasket failure was due to head bolt tension... could have been fixed if caught in time. Solid motor good for 350-400rwhp on a daily driver when built properly. For a few tech notes on the Supra put together by Reg at the shop here.

one on the rads..

or just go here and peruse a lot of the old tech notes. http://www.supras.com/~riemer/sonic/sonic.htm

We've done soo many of the Supras locally and abroad, you might even be able to find one with the HKS metal head gasket and some other goodies already done and for sale.

Nothing wrong with the Nissan... motor swapping would be the only way to go. This side of the pond stock with no turbos, they aren't very exciting.

240 with a swap or a turbo KA but I'm biased. BTW mine for sale too! hehe

I like the 240SX because it is more balanced, nimble and fun to drive than the Supra.

What is your priority in a car? Straighline Speed=Supra, Corners=240SX.

Having owned a MKIII Supra...I have to disagree about the handling aspect of it...yes it is a hefty car..but with the right set-up on the suspension...its a blast to flog up a canyon road...Trust me...Like Kyle Said above...both are graet cars...the Supra on its own, and the 240 after a swap...also, just to let you know...with the 7M-GTE, its alarmingly easy to make power with...and with any Toyota Turbo motor they are essentially de-tuned race motors...So yeah...just watch out for the hed gasket problems...

if u'r gonna do engine swaps, take the supra, and drop a 2jz-gte in it.. that should take most cars

yeah thats the idea i had every one is getting sr20 swaps, and money is gonna be a small issue here. The supra comes stock turbo, and id rather not waste 5000 for the sr20 swap. thanks for all the imput. im looking for more of a street/track car im looking in the rage of 300-400 hp, nothing to much but still fun and usable on the street. i just really wanted to know peoples experiances wuth these cars. The supra seems like the best choise so far.
