CITYBEAT - CITY OF CALGARY PRESS RELEASE

At 07:43 this morning, a silver Ferrari crashed into a
building at 1122 - 4th Street SW. The Calgary Fire
Department, EMS and CPS responded to find the lone male
driver outside of the vehicle and extensive damage to the
glass exterior of the six-storey building. The vehicle
failed to negotiate the corner at 12th Avenue and 4th Street
and made contact with the front of the building with great
force.

The Fire Department's Heavy Rescue unit was dispatched to the
incident in order to assess structural damage and potentially
shore unstable portions of the building's facade.

The vehicle barely made contact with the supportive corner
pillar of the building prior to crashing into the glass wall.
Fire crews stabilized the scene and cleaned up vehicular
fluids. The patient was transported by EMS in non-life
-threatening condition. CPS will remain on scene
investigating the incident.

Vehicle is currently down at the Calgary Parking Authority impound if anyone can get access.

Might not be written off. Engine is in the back and did not smack into concrete, only glass.

Navigating that corner is brutal man. I have been cut off so many times there. It is a one way with a dual turning lane. Asswipes from the inside lane merge onto the outside lane all the time.

Shit this looks fairly rowdy, looks like he must have slid quite a ways to hit that support as well as the glass windows AND doors. boohoo waste of a nice car..

I know the owner and he is in his 30's. I would assume he was cut off or straight up took to much speed into the corner. I assume he was cut off as he drives this route daily.

99% sure this the car, a customer took a photo of the ferrari crashed into the building and it was this. Wonder what happened.
