Hey guys, I don't know if this is heading your way or not, I'm 30 minutes North of Calgary. You might want to put your vehicles somewhere safe.

My friend just called me, her car is in Edmonton and a tree just broke and fell right on top of it!

whatever it is, it's here now. the wind on stoney trail is so strong some of the stop signs at beacon hill were ripped out of the ground. hail hasn't started yet. but it's black and super windy out

Deep SE is a giant wind/dust storm. Was heading out but turned right back around after running into it.

Crazy ass windy. Construction shit blowing all over the place.

Holy shit I just came from downtown. Just finished walking the dog and was about to head home when the wind picked up big time.

So much dust flying around when wooden pieces started flying off the construction on some buildings! And tree branches were breaking off and shit it was crazy.

The car in front of me stopped in it's tracks cuz a wooden board flew right in front of him. It was pretty crazy!

Thanks for the warning Cody and looking out for everyone. I hadn't been outside since about 5 and took one look outside and noticed clouds. My parent's tent was pitched in the backyard for my niece and godson and i'm watching the house at the moment and tent was still hooked by only the two pegs for the canopy.

The tent was maybe 2 minutes away from flying off and the warning on here got me thinking i should check on my car and the tent...My car which was sitting in the driveway with all windows down haha.

Good ole Beyond coming through once again hehe.

So the OP saved my parents new tent and potentially my car hehe.

we went ATVing to swan lake out of caroline yesterday. there was no hail, but while we were stopped for a beer at the lake the wind blew and massive tree over, thankfully it fell the other direction. it was pretty cool to see though, at first i thought it was a gunshot hahah

The wind killed someone at a concert in Canmore, how awful. http://jam.canoe.ca/Music/2009/08/01/10337776-sun.html

Only got lots of wind and a little water in Cougar Ridge, nothing major, only lasted a few minutes here too.

Well if any of you are awake it's just passed us again, this time it knocked over a huge fir tree next door onto the neighbours house.

Edit: Looks like it's already there: http://forums.beyond.ca/showthread.php?s=&threadid=273620
