-Chenbro ES340 Case (http://www.logicsupply.com/blog/2008/03/27/the-chenbro-es34069-case-review-part-1/) This case does not come with the optional memory card reader, but does have the two factory case fans installed under the Mobo tray.

-Jetway NC62K Mini-ITX mobo (http://www.jetwaycomputer.com/AMD3.html) (Dual VGA and DVI with DVI to HDMI adapter)

-AMD X2 BE-2350 (Compare with X2 4800+ and X2 4050e) (http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K8/AMD-Athlon%20X2%20BE-2350%20-%20ADH2350IAA5DD%20(ADH2350DDBOX).html)

-4x Single platter 500GB Seagate HDD's (http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.jsp?name=barracuda-7200-12-sata-3-0-gb/s-500gb-hd-st3500410as&vgnextoid=90329eb4dfe5f110VgnVCM100000f5ee0a0aRCRD&locale=en-US&reqPage=Model&modelReqTab=Features) running in a hardware RAID 5 configuration. (Roughly 1.4 TB) The hardware RAID controller (nVidia) on the mobo provides for a wide range of HDD configurations, the end-user can choose as he/she sees fit, I personally prefer an n-1 stripe and thus configured the system so.

-2GB Kingston PC2-6400 (http://www.valueram.com/datasheets/KVR400D2N3_2G.pdf) (Single DIMM)

-Slimline BluRay / Dual layer DVD-Multiwriter (Will have to grab the model afterwards, can't remember off the top of my head.

-Windows Server 2003 64-Bit Enterprise Edition including original MS Media.

~45W Processor
~4x7W HDD's
~4W BluRay drive
~4Wx2 case fans
~3W CPU cooler
~2W NB cooler
~3.5W Memory
+mobo

Runs like a champ, I ran orthos on it for ~4hours but turned it off as I was going to be away from the house for the better part of 24hrs.

This server is new(built as is Friday July 31, 2009), was going to keep it around for the Windows Server 2008 version of Windows Home Server, but have decided to part with it for now instead. I have receipts for everything except the processor and case (both are brand new I don't know wtf I did with the case reciept and the processor was sent to me from a friend in the US).

The AMD x2 BE-2350 compares favourably (http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/amd-power-cpu,1925.html) against a host of AMD processors for energy consumption, while providing solid computing power for an energy efficient box such as this.

$1000 - The price I quoted is pretty much the replacement value of all of the parts and pieces, However I would consider a partial trade for a desktop PC and cash. The desktop’s I would consider would pretty much have to be the new style Black HP Pavilion’s and I would need the Pavilion to have a Pocket Media Drive slot. I would consider any of the models above 4000+ AM2 for an AMD system or Core 2 Duo on the Intel side.

I'd like to add the components in this machine would make a good carputer build as well if you didn't want to use it as a server. Especially the mini-ITX Jetway motherboard, those are pretty popular in the industry.

Nice machine.

Very nice, what's the PSU on it?

It is the 120W version. I'm not positive, but reviews on similarly configured systems show that this unit with the CPU pegged @ 100% runs at roughly 110W.

I had orthos running on it four hours with the CPU pegged @ 100% usage with no problems whatsoever. I'll re-run the orthos this weekend, I want an 8 hour run and I'll take some screen grabs.
