So my wife's uncle gave us 2 huge honkin' pieces of frozen deer. I need to get this cut up. Anyone know a place that will do it? Anyone want some deer meat after it's cut up? :nut:

you could give Bon Ton Meat market a call and see if they would do it for you

best place for butchering is the gour-mart in bowness, I have been taking my kills to them for years, but the past few times i have driven by, they have had there shutters closed up at like 2 in the afternoon. not sure if they are still open or not.

Did you get a cut of meat or a whole side?

If it is already frozen, you will need someone with a bandsaw to cut it. That will only work if it is already a consistent cut that you just need into smaller pieces.

You really don't want to thaw out the meat, cut it and then refreeze it.

It's not quite a whole side but close. It's frozen so yeah a.) I don't want to thaw it and b.) I pictured someone with a bandsaw. Maybe I'll give that place in Bowness a call.

there a couple of wild game processors in town if you haven't found a butcher to take this on.

enjoy your meat!

I would try these places.

Ryan's Meat Processing - 403-250-7727

Calgary Meats & Deli - 403-276-1423

I've had two bosses who are avid hunters. Both highly recommend this place...
