Car has been very good to me up til now. it has rust on the rear drivers side door and a dent on the rear passenger side door. in addition to this it needs a new transmission. it has alloy wheels, heated seats, keyless entry, cd player, power everything, tilt steering (steering rack was recently replaced). i dont have the time or energy to get the tranny fixed. :

Is there a specific part that needs to be replaced on the tranny or whats the story?

pretty common for reverse or 5th to go, usually issue is with careless drivers not stoping from shifting from 1st to reverse, or the diff rivets failing.

also. not to thread jack but ive got a 5 speed tranny from a 2000 vr6 that would work for whoever bought this car, more sportier gearing then the 2.0L's :D

this is actually my girlfriends car so i am not entirly sure what is exactly wrong with the tranny. She was driving back from med hat and stopped in for fuel and then she couldnt get it going again. a tow truck towed it to camadian tire and then they said it was the tranny and then it went to national transmission. i had the car towed to my house in oakridge. i have a bunch of people interested in it but nothin has been for sure. feel free to pm me w questions. the car had some body damage on it prior to her buying it, hence the drivers rear door.
