View Full Version : FS: Factory BMW catback exhaust from a 328
Off a 98 328, like new with dual chrome (or polished) tips. I took it off my car at about 40k. Great upgrade for a 325 or 318. Its probably over $800 or something ridiculous like that from the dealer.

willing to part with the muffler? what is the inlet size?
It's all one piece, but I imagine u could cut the muffler out pretty easily. I'm selling it as is $200. There is no use in me keeping the down pipe.

you probably wont have much luck selling that here... might wanna try bimmerforums.com or dtmpower.net
Ya I know, I just rather not deal with shipping. Thought I'd be able to help someone out locally too.

I have a 84 318i could you use this exhaust on it
Right now I have A euro dual tip.
Would yours be better?
If yours is just a tip, than yes, mine would be better. But if it is an exhaust, then it depends on the brand. U would probaly need to get it prof installed too.

will not fit 318s in any way, 6cyls have dual pipe all the way to the muffler, 318 has single pipe
Because I have the whole exhaust from the cat back, you could get a muffler shop to add a y-pipe to join your downpipe to the dual pipes of the 328 exhaust.

i just noticed, the guy has an e30...pretty sure it will not fit at all, and that y-pipe idea is a waste of money, a stock 328 exhaust will probably do nothing in terms of performance (exhausts dont really make the car faster, just sound/look cooler anyway) compared to a stock 318 exhaust on a e36
in fact its not even an upgrade to a 325 unless the 325's exhaust is falling apart, they are almost identical exhausts except for a extra holes in yours for oxygen sensors
it may provide some performance gain for the 320/323 though, not sure about that
sorry to sound like a jackass :)
Bump
