WalMart SuperTech 2000 Synthetic?

Just a rumour I heard: WalMart SuperTech 2000 Synthetic is supposedly made by Mobil-1? Did a quick Google search and also found out it might be made by Quaker State as well?

It's probably made by the low bidder that month. Formula probably varies from batch to batch.

There are a very limited number of motor oil manufacturing companies in North America, so it'll be made by one of the majors in all likelihood.
Does that mean it's the same as M1 or QS or those? Not really.
