questions about first time buyer

hey there, so ive got a few questions about buying a home.

i dont have the best credit out there but i want to pick up a house. i hear there is a amount of down payment to make a bank give one a morgage.. i will be able to get the funds for a down payment in cash..

So lets say a 250,000 townhome or apartment.. how much would the down payment need to be?

10% down in most scenarios. Some do 5%. Get a broker to get you a deal.
