I never followed the comics, but I enjoyed the first movie. (I mean, c'mon. Robert Downey Jr and robot suits!)

I went on Wikipedia to see why Don Cheadle took over the part of War Machine and noticed this interesting bit of info:

Damn! I was wondering who the fuck Cheadle was going to be. Didn't know he was taking over for Terrence Howard. That's too bad, I really liked Terrence Howard in the last film, actually, I liked Terrence Howard in every film that I've seen him in. Crazy that he was the highest paid actor in the first Iron Man considering he was only a supporting character.

dammit...Video removed. I typically hate when they change actors for the same role in the same series. For some reason I don't mind this one, Don Cheadle is a good actor and will be able to pull it off. I heard Terrence commanded a lot more money than studios were willing to give.

I dunno if it was the quality or not but the trailer didn't get me as hyped up as I thought it would. Iron Man 2 is still my most anticipated movie of 2010 though.

I thought Terrence Howard was great in Ironman. It's too bad that he's all about the money, I'm sure over the long term, doing another hit ironman movie would have helped him get even better paying roles down the road.

Best comic book movie I think is Dark Knight, I enjoyed the Crow a lot but that's not too mainstream. I think Iron Man is good and entertaining but I don't think it's close to being the best. I really enjoyed Spider-Man 1 for it's time, and X-men 2.

Came back from it last night.

It was good. Tho for a comic book movie there was a time issue with me.
An example would be, "Bad shit is gonna happen in 40 mins, better build a new suit within that time"

I did not stick to the end of the credits but there were some stuff i did not see in the movie that were in the trailer.
These are not spoilers so I guess I don't have to block them out.
The scene where Pepper kisses the Helmet and throws it out of the plane and I think I remember a scene where Black Widow had the gauntlet on and Stark was showing her how to fire the repulsors.

I didn't notice the Black Widow scene but remembered right away the helmet kiss was not included, pretty weird. Movie was decent, definitely not as good as the first one. The final battle didn't feel climactic enough. I didn't like Don Cheadle either, Howard was more fun.

There was a scene after the credits, I didn't know but stayed anyways.

Was that Thor's sword in the ground? They also showed Captain America's shield but this was know before the movie came out.

EDIT: It's actually his hammer. Kind of looked like the bottom of a sword to me at the theatres.

looks like they have a lot of following films already mapped out, to bring the avengers together one at a time

i was looking forward to more about hulk vs ironman, but it'll probably be hulk vs the avengers

i thought it was great, of course nothing like the dark night over batman begins, but its exactly what I would expect and nothing more.

with ironman 2 out, time to look forward for the rest of the year, plenty of other potentially great flicks

I liked the first one, but didn't like this one as much. The only highlight was Scarlett Johansson. I don't know... the battle scenes seem like they were just blowing things up randomly. The thing that turned me off the most was I thought the boss fight was way too short.

In terms of the action movies out there right now, Kick-Ass > Iron Man.

Better than the first IMO, my only gripe was the ending was sort of Anti-Climatic. And it needed a better soundtrack.

I thought this movie was pretty damn bad, especially after the epicness of the first one. They tried to integrate a story line which sucked a lot and had loads of loopholes in it. The movie needed about 30 more mins of action scenes to justify for the terrible plot.

FINALLY got around to seeing this last night... I'd give it a pretty solid 7/10. Not as good as the first one, but still quite good. For people complaining about the lack of action, give the first one another viewing, there is arguably less action in that one. I do however agree it was a pretty anti-climactic ending, which I felt the first one was as well. Just disappointed we didnt get to see more of War Machine.

Yeah, the end fight was, "lacking" a bit of him.
Overall good movie, i would have liked to see him put up a little bit more of a fight.
