Well, I'm gunna share a funny/stupid story with you. My friend... he buys himself a 2009 BMW 325i. Not a bad lil car... calls me up and asks me how to put on a hood scoop. I look at it and it's pretty basic, just cut the hole and mount.

So... I tell him to grab a dye grinder, and start cutting into the hood, then blah blah blah about the mounting... presto, shoulda been an hour job..

So, I start driving over to see it when he's done... He calls me and starts asking me about why it's so hard to cut... I say, I dunno, maybe it's reinforced...

I get there... and guess what, the moron hasn't taken the freakin' hood off the car and is using a fuckin' 10" disc...

I scream like a lil girl at the horrifying picture. So, I open the hood, he's cut the exhaust manifold, the headers and cut into the block...

So, for future reference, when installing shit on your ride... remember... take the part off... yes?

#2 Maybe my logic is faulty here, but if you're using a 10'' cut-off wheel the most you can do down is ~4'' (because the mounting attachment is in the middle and will be resting on the hood when the wheel is 4'' down) .... you're telling me that the manifolds/headers are only 3-4'' from the top of the hood since he managed to cut into them.....I don't believe you.
