My anniversary is tomorrow night, and I have an appointment at Brentwood Mall first-Not being familiar with the NW, are there any cool places to have dinner in this area, or perhaps Kensington?
All suggestions welcome!

probably the best in NW is broken plate in ranchlands right beside crowfoot.

its close to the DQ in ranchlands.

or you can take her for some fine dining at Harveys since youll be at brentwood mall anyways

if your goin to kensignton, try some morocan food at sultans tent.

pretty cool place, dark and intimate.

but you do eat with your hands, its actually pretty cool.

and you can ask for utensils if you want

The Blue House Cafe was great years ago but then they sold it to new owners and it has gone steadily downhill. They used to have the best seafood in the city but the new owners reduced portion sizes and the sauces now taste processed.

I would stay away as it no longer has an authentic taste and is quite pricy for what you actually get. If you're in the mood for seafood and are considering Kensington, you may as well go a little further to Don Quijote by Eau Claire Market.

Want EXCELLENT italian dining at a REALLY good price? Hit up 'La Vienna', it's right near the gelato place on kensington road, and they have delicious italian dishes for (mostly) under $15 a plate!
