So i got these a mnth ago and i did the training program and wow this thing made a huge difference. I tested my bench yesterday and it went up 30 pounds and my rotator cuff feels 100 percent now. In one month i went from 15 push ups to 32 and 8 wide grip push ups to 20. I highly reccomend this product if you are trying to bust a plateau or just want to strengthen your rotator cuffs:thumbsup:

Edit

Btw if you can do around 30 push ups with this you can easily do 40+ normal pushups

for the next person reading this thread, he speaks of a perfect pushup but he doesn't say if this is a training video or a technique or what.

its actually a device thats has handles that lets your wrist pivot on the ground to remove stress from arm joints.

...

anyway, it sounds like you want to increase your bench and be easy on your shoulders,

why not just benchpress using dumbbells instead of a straight olympic bar.

this will be easy on your shoulders and let you build your bench.

i have done that i find i get a way better pump when i use these. My dumbell press was stuck at 70's and yesterday when i tried i could easily do 85's 10 times.

^lol

try these also, seated cable press, or whatever its called

same movement idea, only you can adjust the weight, and you can focus more on squeezing your chest muscles

actually for a more complete workout.. an actual pushup is better because it works on your core, since your stomach needs to stablize your body as you do the pushup.... but if your just focusing on chest/arms, then using that workout machine works better....

ive actually done http://hundredpushups.com/
when i first started, i could probably only do 20-25 streight pushups (good form pushups) before stopping... i was able to get to week 5 before injuring myself a few weeks ago (hurt myself playing basketball) but i was able to get about 55-60 streight pushups....

I just did the initial test, 27 :thumbsdow Thought I would do more. Oh well, it recommends I start at week 3, 3rd column.

just as an fyi, if you've got/had rotator cuff problems I'd avoid doing any really wide pushups or benching. Shoulder width or a hair wider will be ideal; going wide just increase your risk for r/c injury or posisble pec tears.

Power Bench setup ftw.

Bench narrower, tuck you elbows and arch your back.

Sure you may feel like you're cheating yourself of the gains, but pushing more weight recruits more muscle fibers and in the end more high twitch units.

This is what growth is about.

yea, but I wouldn't be telling people to arch their back.

It may be proper powerlifting form, but for most people (i.e., those who don't already know how to do it properly) that will just equate to them/lead them to lifting their bum off the bench.

back would be straight if the ass is off the bench. By lifting your ass you're essentially 'declining' the movement.

You can't really lift your ass in a proper back arch because your feet are under you.

You can get them at any fitness store, i got my pushup one at walmart tho. Btw the pullup is not a bar its handles that hook onto the bar you have so it swivels as you pull yourself up.
