Hello everyone,

RECOVERED

First, sorry if this isn't the right place. Just posting this on behalf of my friend who's a single mom that has a newborn that just got her car stolen out of her driveway on 08/11/2009. She really needs this vehicle to go shopping for the baby, and daily usage of course... I cannot express enough how badly she needs her vehicle.

This happened around 10:30 & 11:30 AM in the Bridlewood S.W. Area.
This includes are such as Evergreen, Somerset, Shawnessy, Silverado, Spruce Meadows, etc...

Please be on a lookout for a 2007 Red Pontiac G5 Sedan.
License Plate: SET-897

Identification:
- tinkerbell border around license plate.
- Backseat has a baby seat Eddy Bower seat.
- Has the drivers ID in there, along with babies birth certificate, health care etc...
- Garage door opener
- No noticeable markings, dents or dings. Cars in excellent condition.

Possibly all these items are ditched to make the car not stand out.

Please PM me with tips or any suggestions. All the help is appreciated!

To make matters worst because she's a single parent 20 years old... and a low paying job. The insurance she purchased has no theft coverage.

Thanks,
Steve

Lock the garage door. I live in Bridlewood so I'll add the plate to the list on my dash

I hate to say it but her proximity to the reserve may have something to do with this.

Did she leave the keys in it or what? Thats a fairly new car, does it not have some sort of immobilizer?

No, she has both the keys sitting on her desk at home... I asked her that too but she's like as if I were that stupid....

And yes the garage door is being locked every night and when no one's home, and its been unplugged.

Still no updates...

Steve

That sucks, but if you forgo theft coverage on a vehicle, you should at LEAST be using a cheap anti-theft device (eg. Club).

Chances are good that the car will be found within the next 2 weeks. American cars like this one tend not to be hot sellers for parts.

Steve

no offence, but who leaves their DL and their kids BC in their vehicle? Kind of 'stupid' and asking for trouble.

Either way I will keep a look out.

I agree on this one.... I didn't want to say anything when she mentioned that cause she's already go enough on her plate to handle. I just thought to myself, and moved on to something else lol.

EDIT:

Just got word from the owner that she found the vehicle. I will provide everyone with updates as soon as I get them. Mods delete thread or close it, do what you guys do.

CAR IS RECOVERED!

Excellent news! Especially for a woman in her position. Hopefully it is driveable.

The police found it around the area ditched in an alley way.

Stolen was an ipod, the ipod cable, and some change.

Everything was moved around, and the vehicle was scratched. Not too sure if its keyed or anything but scratched from what she tells me.

Well best of luck to her, and thanks god the police found it.
