Subwoofer carpet questions and where to buy.

Just a quick question. Im looking to build a box for my subwoofer and Im wondering where I can buy black carpet locally to wrap my wooden box? Is there a specific type of carpet that sub builders use?

On the same topic of wrapping a sub box, does anyone know of any other type of material that would be good looking for wrapping a sub box with? Something cloth-ish, but not as fuzzy as carpet. Maybe I'll check FabricLand. The typical square carpeted box is somewhat boring...
