I have 30 days to get a safety inspection done on a new vehicle I acquired. Generally, how much does a safety inspection cost and where is a preferred place to get one done? Preferably in the NW.
Thanks

It is for insurance purposes...I havent heard great things about Canadian Tire for inspections, heard they will say a lot of other things need to be replaced when they really don't need to be.

The only thing I know about the car is that the tranny is a little sticky (slips sometimes on 2nd gear), is that going to be a big issue for the safety?

that should be a huge issue. i took mine to shelby auto in braeside? cedarbrae? just off of anderson/24th by the timmies... and it was fine... inspection was like 70 bucks.
