How to hook up Amplifier/Sub to factory CD player??

I have seen it done before where someone spliced off of the factory CD player harness for a sub output for the amplifier. Anyone know which wires to use?

I know generally you would use the "sub out" female RCA's on an aftermarket deck but I am satisfied with the stock CD unit and will use it if I can.

It's on a 2000 Nissan Xterra.

Any idea's?

Get a Line Output Converter. Most audio shops will have some. If your really baller get a JL Audio clean sweep

just search for a wiring diagram for the vehicle and DIY.
I did it on my old beamer, it wasnt too tough.

You can run high output from your speakers to your amp, most amps come with the option of running either pre-outs or hi volume in from the speakers, at least, thats how it used to be.
