Today at Dynomotive Brad dynoed at 440.6whp@7000rpm, boosting at 18psi, his 720cc injectors had maxed out so no more boost was able to be added, as for the MUSTANG dyno he had used its supposidly loses 10% to the wheels compared to the Davenport Dyno, but soon we'll see some higher numbers, and we'll see how it runs at the track!!

Just for the record, the injectors are only nearly maxed out. The 720's are running at around 73% duty cycle. The problem was not the injectors, but rather the wastegate spring. The most I could hit was 1.3kg/cm2, which is around 18-19psi. I am using a 7-9 psi spring in the Racegate, when I need the 9-13 psi spring. With that installed, I should be able to reach ~24psi.

To elaborate on, the dyno session:

1st base run @ 8psi = 275hp & 255ft/lbs torque

base @ 15psi = 403.1hp @ 6200rpm & 356.7ft/lbs @ 5700rpm

best @ max boost using 7lb spring = 440.6hp @7000rpm & 355ft/lbs @ 5500rpm

final tune @ 18psi = 434.0hp @ 7000rpm & 366.3ft/lbs @ 5600rpm.

I would also like to say how excellent Thomas of Dynomotive was. I highly recommend this for tuning (even thought the actual power numbers are ~10% lower than would be seen on a Dynojet). -->440.6 = ~484whp

I'll do a few runs on a Dynojet as soon as a 9-13psi spring becomes available (anybody know who has one?)

See you at the track tommorow.

I have the whole set of springs for the deltagate/racegate. Just gotta find 'em. I'm using the 5-7psi spring myself, and I can boost to 28psi fine with my AVC-R.

redlyne_mr2,
Yes I will be at both events drag warz and JB's,
I think suichi is come up with me too.

I want to be the first import(real street car) in the 10's at over 130mph in alberta.

I was pretty close last time i was at the track, 11.5 @ 129mph with the car going sideways at 300ft out and letting off on 3rd.

If you can boost to 28psi, then I don't think you can have such a low pressure spring. With the AVCR you are only able to go a little higher than double the current spring pressure. That is the limitation of that unit. That's why with a 9-13psi spring I could set boost at between 22-28psi. That's what I need asap.

Any chance of you trying to locate that 9-13psi spring today? Obviously there would be some finacial benifit to you for locating such an item. Anybody else know of one? Edmonton, Calgary, etc.

Here are the colors to identify the spring you have:
green = 3-5psi
blue = 5-7psi
silver = 7-9psi
black = 9-13psi ***

Thanks
XES

ps. don't know what event I will be going to besides SS tonight (we'll see how she runs first).

Congragulations Brad that is very, very impressive. Thats going to be tough to beat. I doubt my brother has a chance now. But we will have to wait till next year to find out for sure.

It's good to see the only fast Honda in town getting faster. :thumbsup:

P.S. Davenport has a Dynojet

Thanks for the complements. Generally not alot is said from the domestic market. As for Davenport, I was originally planning to go in to see Steve @ Davenport today. But until the wastegate spring problem is fixed, my car won't see the rollers again.

As for another comment made earlier, yes, this is the same motor I was running last year. H23A with 9:1 compression. No further head work, etc. vs last year.

Great to hear Brad! I'll be anxious to see the car run & to run against you again (I didn't say I would win again ;).

I'd like to see your dyno plot after you get it on the Dynojet.

Congrats.

As for the attempted run tonight, yes i'm disappointed. Didn't see that one coming. And to think that run was only at 8psi. I'll most likely pull the tranny out this weekend and get a better look at what is actually broken.

Sorry to disappoint the good crowd. Hopefully next time i'll post a few runs.

Well XES No that you have found the 13psi spring and a proper alternator pulley from a secret source(not mentioning any names) but your welcome. Just change the tranny over tonight and we can dyno it again on monday @ 24 psi. I think you can make over 600whp with tha kind of boost. If you want some help taking out the tranny tonight Ill come by and help.
