I am looking to help a friend whos motor blew on his 2000 Honda Civic SI (1.6L SOHC VTEC) I am assuming this is a B16? He has been dealing with Honda (for some reason) on how to get a new engine put in. They told him that everything would work out but now they are saying that it cant be done with the engine he has because the wiring harness and manifold does not work out with the JDM engine he bought.

He needs to get this swap done right away as well as source an engine that will work in this car. Anybody know where he can find a good engine and place to get this swap done? Time is a bit of a factor. He is willing to have it done by anybody who knows there stuff. I know nothing about honda's but know people on this forum are quite knowledgeable. Any help is appreciated

his engine right now is not going to be a b16a.

b16 is DOHC.

if he wants it done fast and right. i would hit up JDM source

Do they do the actual swaps there?

the engine he has is a d16y8

+1 for going to JDM Source.. they'll take care of everything needed in the swap
