This pisses me off...after the amount of time it took to get this case to trial, and all the problems the trial had with witnesses being killed, and only one person being convicted. Now that POS is being let go because he has cancer. He can die with his family, at home, unlike the hundreds of people that were on PanAm 103; they were obliterated on their way to spend Christmas with their families. If there is a hell, I hope he suffers forever.

he will die in his mud hut with his penis in a camel and his family looking on.

The only way he should have been going home was in a body bag.

He has maintained his innocence throughout his trial and incarceration, and many people in Britain believe he is innocent.

I heard he's offered by Libya as scapegoat. Not the real terrorist.

There's no way that Al Megrahi was the sole person responsible for the bombing -- the evidence presented against him is shaky at best.

Really? Is that what you heard? Well then it must be true.

I'm aware that there are a couple of lawyers here on beyond. I didn't realize that you were one of them.

if he has cancer, wouldn't that make him for fatal?

The head of the victims family group was on CBC and they don't think he's guilty, or at least there's enough to make them wonder.

He filed an appeal awhile back and half-way through it got sealed; this was partly a way for the victim families to get that information made available. I didn't follow the details.

Until I heard some of the details I was with the Americans on the "Off with his head" camp, but now I'm not sure. If he dies in 2-3 months, and they get more information then so be it.

Hey, he got a red-carpet reception at home, too.

....and now the minister stands behind his decision, but complains that the arrival in Lybia was a big show, when they promised him it would be "low key". Well, what the fuck did he think was gonna happen?? That's what you get when you deal with terrorists.
