Plan was to sell it at 6.70 since it was fighting there for a long part of the day, but they it filled, went up to about 6.60, then came back down.

I'll hold it as it will most likely head up into the 7s next week again but will not hold it longer than a week.

Plus I gambled huge on this and put my 2/3 of my entire cash portion in hoping to bank a thousand today with a minimum 10 cent flip but I got screwed :(

It can but at the same time you have to think about how much higher NG will have to go for HNU to hit $20.

Alot of people are calling for another commodity boom through these summer months, but $20 for HNU is a long shot.
I'd put it around $14-15 max.

Also ETF's are not something you want to hold in the long run, as stated several times in this thread. You either take a loss and make up for it another way or hang on forever and hope you come out ahead.

I bought some HEB and am rolling the dice with it. Hanging on for the weekend. Bought too early, so you guys in the $2.x range are laughing real hard at me. :poosie:

But if it is approved and opens up at $10.00 on Monday morning like that other stock did when it went way up, I guess it will be worth it. BIG GAMBLE, which is why I only bought a small number of shares.

Should be interesting.

Could be. I mean, if it dropped to $0.25 on Monday, then it's just like SNO. LOL.

$0.4x to $0.01 for snow. Piece of shit mother fucking stock. Lost so much money on that dog crap company. Even now it's only worth $0.02 or $0.025. I have 80,000 shares that cost a whole lot more than $0.02 cents per share!!!!!!

Meh. Who cares what HEB does. I put in no more than I was willing to lose completely, just for pure FUN! So we'll see what happens.

the US dollar is on the rise.... hope NG doesn't drop to much....

SilverRex

as mention last week, looks like the US rally that I was expecting finally started and in a big way too looking at the US dollar index, you can clearly see the 6-7 week down trend was broken and now it is in an uptrend. Will this up trend trend be a big channel going up and down, no one knows, only time will tell but what does means is, one should be thinking not to go against it. At least for now.

I'm not surprise if the US makes a certain pull back between areas and resistance but again remember the trend probablly has changed for the short term.

the euro after putting in a massive head and shoulder which top out at 4300, breakinb below 4100 as I mention also achieved its pattern target at around 3800 (3808). So will this mean we should get a bounce here? or gold to short cover? or the US dollar pull back. Possibly if one must enter make sure you have tight stop below its recent lows. I expect the general market will soon top out if not started already.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/dollare.jpg

looking at gold, the biggest reason why gold went north is solely based on the US dollar, now that the US dollar is making a rebound, gold will consolidate. If this recently 126 dollar rally is real and not corrective (as some EW expert calls it) then I only expect gold to pull back to its fibonacci retracements levels before making another run. Therefore look places to go long on gold at key areas starting 943, 928 and 913. I would only question gold's medium term out look if it closes below 913. If anyone recalls our metal key area is actually 900 barrier. So if gold closes below 900 I Would exit all position as that could signal another wave of weakness towards 850 and 823. So keep the low 900s in the back of your mind.

looking at NG chart you can tell there is two lower highs 4.57, 4.28
but also three high lows 3.25, 3.50 and 3.55

my suggestion is to wait until NG breaks that down trend line that is coming down from 4.57 and 4.38 before going long term.

or if price gets near 3.55 with a stop below 3.55

ok so really not much happen yesterday but as mention the US dollar had hit a temporary top (imo) and so I expected gold and oil to rebound and so it did or at least it started too this morning. looking at oil, oil is the only trade that is very much still in its up channel and so until it breaks you just have to trade it that way. meaning, sell when it reaches near the top and buy when it reaches near the bottom. based on two different connecting patterns, I expect a good place to short oil is around or between 70-71.50.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/oilc.jpg

and as mention the US dollar index is tracing out to the lower part of the channel, IF this is indeed a mini US rally up trend, then it should not break below 80 there fore I expect it to rebound some where between 79.80-80.20 and when this happens it will cap gold and oil prices.

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/dollarf.jpg

gold, pretty much in sync with the US dollar index, should have its upside limited to around 960-965. Hoeever I've seen stranger things happen in the market place. The only thing to watch is, if gold gets above 973, then all bets are off, because that would kill the US dollar index momentum and perhaps this was a fake rise? and the US dollar wants to head towards 77.7? if so that would send gold to test 1000. again that will only happen if the US dollar breaks down and gold passes 973. which I dont think it will happen. at least not now.

I don't think the price should have ever rised to where it did. Their balance sheet is weak and people were just hoping someone (Total) would make an offer to buy them. Price went up on rumours but I just don't see a deal happening. Especially with the water handling issues the current Long Lake project is facing and the increased carbon emissions from the Syngas technology.

I'd put money on UTS before Opti...I can see Suncor / PCA wanting to own 100% after they merge.

try clearing your cookies if it's web based. I had issues once and clearing the cookies fixed me. I had to reset all my favourites and preferences but at least I could buy / sell!!

I cleared cookies, history, files. lowered security settings, accepted 3rd party cookies and all that jazz and nothing. I called the company up and they told me to do the exact same things that I had done. Took it a step further and reinstalled, java, flash EI, tried firefox and now 5hrs later, i'm still only able to track prices on the 15min delayed qoutes from google :banghead:

i hope for better luck tomorrow

Nice. Now who has the balls to buy some HOD at open?

Anyone willing to go against the force?

I heard this quote from keane or Dow some thing like
"turns in the market can take as long as it takes for you to become insolvent"

Even though we may be correct about a certain trend but it may not happen exactly when we planned it.

What a mofo, this is sofaking true haha

Do not fight the force. I actually sold my HOU today and banked another $1k when Oil hit $70. The plan was to wait for a a small pullback but actually I think this past month, everytime I sold it, I just bought back in higher and sold it higher again. Damn thing just keeps climbing. Unreal.

The general market is kind of moving sideways right now, what's up with that? Pop or drop? Summer is a slow season? I need a pullback to 9000 so I can push more money into XIU.

Z_Fan, remember when HOD was at $47 and HOU was at $4 and YOU SAID the trend was beginning to reverse (the contango closed to almost even for front and near month) and HOU would soon become the steamroller that HOD was? hehe :poosie:

Yeah I know, if you had pushed all in right there, BAM. :bigpimp:

Ahhh....alright seriously, is oil just going to keep climbing? At this rate we might see $100 by August? Energy stocks going to follow suit? :dunno: :nut:

Anybody have any idea what happened with SQNM today? They went up 58% in a matter of 4 hrs. No new announcements that I've found...

well the US dollar index is overshooting my targeted drop area and if it does not climb back above 80 soon and fast it could japordize the recent rally. and with it oil and gold are bumping into some important levels yet again.

first oil, we are right up against the upper trend channel (once again) oil just wont quit. but looking at it, unless it goes parabolic, the idea usually is to short it, its looking like its starting to form a ascending wedge which typically should break down eventually, how fast? i am not sure, but none the less as mention yesterday the 70-71.50 would be a good place to start going short amid with stops of course.

gold is finding its shine slowly building up back to around 61-65. while I expect this to hold but if it does not, it doesnt mean the end of the world since it CAN as shown on the down trend lines drawn, form a larger down trend channel which ( I may perfer) as it looks like a down ward megaphone (just like the one we endured for the last 2 years and a break out above the upper line will trigger a buy signal that should assult 1000. I dont foresee that happening now and I sure hope we will at least head lower first before going up. One thing to note is, the COT commercials short contracts are at its highest level since 2005. while when ever this happens, gold gets hammered down big time like we saw in last autum, but similarily in 2005 when gold wanted to break 450, and when it finally did it rocketed 60% higher. we this be the same scenario? cross our fingers you bet. until then, lets just stick with the TA. so the first support at 943 held and so far as making a nice rally. if anyone got in here, should move your stop to zero. If gold does get back down to this level, I dont think it will hold and we should see the next level down which is 928-930 (that is my entry point)

http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk118/genmaster/golde.jpg

so far NG is moving up ever so slowly, but moving none the less. unless 3.55 breaks (now at 3.83) I do expect it to climb slightly over 4. But it will be interesting because it is stuck between a triangular pattern that should lead to a breaout on either side. Either its going to break above 4 and head higher or its going to break below 3.55 and head to retest the low. Let just take it one day at a time.

For companies that are oil heavy they might, but in Alberta a lot of Energy sector is gas and gas price is crap right now. Some gas fields are getting shut in and drilling for gas is getting cancelled in favour of drilling for oil.
